Need a fundraising plan that’s simple, effective, and volunteer-friendly?
Whether you’re going camping with Scouts, raising money for a youth society trip, or supporting a school project, this step‑by‑step guide is built for UK groups on the move. Follow these organised steps, and by the end, you’ll have a confident plan—without overwhelm.

How to plan and run a successful Collective Sales fundraiser in 5 simple steps
Step 1: Choose your timeframe & set a goal
Start by asking:
- How much do we want to raise?
- How many members are selling
- When do we need the money by?
Pro tip: Aim for a realistic, group-wide goal. For example, if you want to raise £1,000 and have 28 members, that’s just 6 candles each at £16,25!
Check out our profit calculator!
Step 2: Choose your selling price
You buy candles from us at £10 each. Most groups sell between £15–£18 per candle.
You choose your price—but keep in mind:
- Higher price = more profit per candle
- Lower price = easier to sell more.
Pro tip: Tell people exactly what their purchase helps fund, people love supporting a good cause, especially when they’re getting a lovely candle in return!
Step 3: Get your team on board
Give each member their own 6-pack of candles to sell. It’s manageable, simple, and keeps things fair.
Create a buzz by:
- Setting a sales period (2–4 weeks works great)
- Encouraging team spirit (maybe a little prize?)
- Posting updates in your group chat
💡 Pro tip: Make it a group challenge, not individual pressure!
Bonus: We’ve created a full toolkit with everything you need
Step 4: Start selling!
Here’s where the magic happens. Top ways to sell:
- Friends & family (start close to home!)
- Neighbours
- Parent’s friends
- Community events
- Social media posts (a cute candle pic goes a long way!)
💡: You keep 100% of the candle sale profit
Step 5: Return if needed
We’re pretty sure you’ll sell out—but just in case:
- We offer free returns (in good condition)
- Let us know within 28 days of delivery
- You’ll have another 7 days to ship them back
We’re flexible! If you have concerns, just reach out. We’re here to help you succeed. Read our Terms & conditions page.
